Next week, Culberson Hospital will be welcoming a new provider to its
clinical team at the Van Horn Rural Health Clinic. Rodett Osorio, PA-C
will join the staff as a second midlevel, lifting the total number of
medical providers to four.
Osorio’s first day will be Tuesday,
July 16. As a recent graduate with his Master from Union College in
Lincoln Nebraska, Osorio brings a strong background in healthcare to
Culberson Hospital.
He has practiced in the Laboratory setting for over seven years both as a Medical Technologist and Shift Supervisor.
Growing up in the Philippines, Osorio spent a large portion of his childhood in the mission field alongside his parents.
He
attended high school in Zambia before moving to the United States to
pursue a college education. After graduating with honors in 2001 as a
Medical Technologist, Osorio and his wife Mehdy moved to Pharr, TX
accepting a position at McAllen Medical Center in South Texas.
Osorio is looking forward to beginning a new chapter in his career as a health care professional in Van Horn, TX.
“I am excited to experience the new challenges that I will encounter in my journey as a Physician Assistant,†says Osorio.
Enjoying
the outdoors is one of Osorio’s favorite pastimes. Occasionally hiking
and fishing, he especially likes playing sports – specifically
basketball. Osorio also has a passion for missions, visiting different
counties and experiencing various cultures. He has had the privilege of
visiting; Kenya, Zambia, Malawi and Singapore.
