UPDATE 2
Last week, candidate Becky Brewster asked for a recount of the vote for the mayor's race. The official tally from the city secretary was as follows:

After the recount today that began at 9 a.m. at City Hall, the results came out exactly the same as on election day. According to City Secretary Fran Malafronte, an election judge transposed some numbers for early voting, but that error did not skew the final voting results. A total of 546 votes were cast for mayor and alderman.
