The ARC of Van Horn will host a pet vaccination clinic for very young puppies and kittens starting on Friday June 20 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Puppies should be between six weeks old to four months old, while kittens should be between eight weeks old to four months old.
For puppies, a “5-way†vaccination is recommended. This is a series of two or three injections 23 days apart. For kittens, it’s a “3-way†is a series of two or three injections 23 days apart.
Vaccinations do not include any adult animal vaccines like rabies.
Cost is $10 per injection. This helps defray the cost of providing vaccines to an adoptable stray animal. Discounts will be availabe for $5 for entire litters under certain guidelines.
Vaccinations will be held at the ARC Building (former Ann’s Flower Shop). Other dates for vaccinations will be held on July 14 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Aug. 7 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Aug. 29 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
