Dear Editor:
I want to thank the graduating class, school board, and administration at Van Horn High School for the invitation to speak at the 2015 Commencement.
It was an honor to have been asked and a bucket list item for me as well. While I did enjoy the experience, I thought the speeches by the salutatorian and valedictorian were impressive and possibly the best advice shared that night.
One take away from the experience that was inspiring had to be the fact that the affair was held outside with the mountains serving as a beautiful background…what a sight and under God’s canopy! I wish my class had thought of that.
Again, I appreciate the hospitality shown by all and now to the class of 2015, it’s time to go to work and leave no doubt.
