Texas Rare Earth holds informational open house in Sierra Blanca

Texas Rare Earth Resources Corp. is a heavy rare earths exploration company now based in Sierra Blanca. The company's primary focus is developing its 950-acre Round Top rare earth minerals project located in Hudspeth County.
Round Top is one of four principal rhyolite bodies, an igneous volcanic rock, making up the group of mountains known as The Sierra Blanca.
Texas Rare Earth officials held an informational open house on Wednesday to let local residents know about the activity that will take place. The preliminary stages of the project, conducting exploratory drilling for the past two years, is complete and the company is now ready for the next stage of operation to design a process to mine minerals. China is the only country where rare earth minerals are mined.
