Congratulations to the JH Tennis teams that participated in the San Elizario Tennis Tournament. Both the 7th and 8th teams played very well on Saturday.
7th Grade Results:
Doubles Team Viviana Sanchez and Valerie Felix played for 3rd place losing 8-6 in a competitive match against Ft. Hancock.
Girls Singles: Makayla Torres won the consolation round

Softball:
The Lady Eagle softball team fought long and hard this weekend at the El Paso tournament. They persevered through early mornings and late nights, We played against big and strong teams and came out with a win in the end. The coaches are very proud of the effort and character the girls showed this weekend.

Varsity Girls Division
The team of Renee Rivera, Leslie Gonzales, Mireya Quintana, Karina Ramirez won GOLD in the sprint relay & the 800 relay defeating Andrews, San Angelo Lakeview, Monahans & Crane.
April Padilla continued her undefeated season with wins in the 2mile and 800m as well.
In the 200m., Karina Ramirez placed 1st and Leslie Gonzales placed 2nd.
In the triple jump Renee Rivera placed 2nd and Calise Cottrell placed 6th.
In the long jump,Karina Ramirez placed 5th and Renee Rivera placed 6th.
The girls finished 4th overall accumulating 90 points with only six girls participating. Van Horn was the only 1A team
at the meet.

* The team of Natan Arrazate, Joseph Nieto, Sam Rivera, & Luis Urias placed 5th in the sprint relay behind 2A, 3A, 4A schools.

Rafael Rodriguez placed 3rd in the triple jump.
