Glenn Humphries has narrowly defeated Becky Brewster to become the next mayor of Van Horn. He secured 222 votes, while Ms. Brewster received 198 votes. Cary Robinson received 72 votes.
Rudy Hinojos, a former city alderman, won a seat on the city council with 173 votes. Domingo Corralez kept his incumbent seat with 183 votes. Cheri Friday was the other incumbent running for re-election, and she received 153 votes.
Leticia Hernandez won a seat on the CCAISD board of trustees with 327 votes. Sandy Urias received 206 votes to win the other available seat. Incumbent Duane Corrales was defeated with 155 votes.
Vance Cottrell received 263 votes for his seat on the Culberson County Groundwater Conservation District, and Refugio Corrales won his seat back on the board with 152 votes.
Finally, results for the Hospital District Board are as follows;
Larry Simpson: 160 votes
Edwin Easely: 216 votes
Gracie Mendoza: 247 votes
