The Advocate has learned that mayoral candidate Becky Brewster has filed the necessary paperwork with city officials for a formal recount.
According to the official vote count provided by the city secretary, Glenn Humphries received 222 votes, while Ms. Brewster received 198 votes. It is unclear when the recount will take place, but it will likely happen within the next seven days. Mayor Pro-Tem Pam Young will announce the date of recount.
