CCAISD trustees on Monday extended contracts for all administrators for the 2016-2017 school year.
These include: Kittie Gibson (Secondary Principal), Brian Gibson (Athletic Director), Dolores Upchurch (Elementary Principal), Sondra McCoy (Counselor), Julie Uranga (Finacial Director) and Debbie Engle (Interim Superintendent)
Following a closed session, the vote was 5-2 with Trustees Sandy Urias and Angie Gonzales voting against.
Trustees also voted on contract renewals for the following teachers (some with probationary terms):

In other action, trustees:
• Voted to adjust school calendar for Early Release Day from April 22 to April 29
• Accepted vendors for Priority 1 and Priority 2 funding for E-Rate
• Voted in favor of a budget amendment in the amount of about $300,000 for security cameras and new computers for the district.
Trustees recognized the Robotics Team and the Boys and Girls Basketball Teams (Basketball Superlatives). The girls basketball team were District Champions and Coach Victor Pallares was Coach of the Year. The Robotics Team, under the helm of Joy Scott, will travel to compete in a national championship in St. Louis on April 22. (The team is accepting donations for the trip.)
