Judge Michael L. Davis completed the 20-hour Justice of the Peace Stage III Seminar held March 29,2015 through April 1,2015 in San Marcos, sponsored by the Texas Justice Court Training Center, a division of Texas State University, with offices in Austin.
The seminar is the final of three seminars held for newly appointed Justices of the Peace so they can fulfill their Continuing Judicial Education Requirements of 80 hours of training within the first year of taking office, as set forth in Article 27.005 of the Texas Government Code.
The seminar addressed topics including: Courtroom Security, Backlog Case Management, DWI Bond Conditions, Collections information, Ethics, and Open Records
