On Saturday,
October 24, the Van Horn Fighting Eagle Band will be competing in the Area A
Marching Competition at Dick Bivins Stadium in Amarillo.
Contest schedule is to
be announced on Tuesday, October 20. The Eagle band received a Division II
rating (Excellent) at the Region 22 competition in El Paso on October 10 and
will now represent Region 22 at the Area contest.
The Eagle Band is under the
direction of Jeff Anderson and Hayley McCoy. The band will be performing their
show Bee-bop-a-Loo-Bop: Fifties Do-Wop
Rock with music by Barry Hurt and drill by Richard Whorton.
