On behalf of the Beef Love Run 5k organizers, Janna Stubbs, Debbie Aufdengarten and Jennifer Sproul, we would like to extend a huge thank you to all that participated, volunteered and supported our successful event in Valentine on Valentine’s Day. A big thank you to Miss Jessie “Peanut” Garcia, a VISD student, who designed the love stamp that was used on all our advertisements. This year we registered approximately 94 enthusiastic runners and walkers from all over the state. The Food Pantry of Jeff Davis County benefited from our event with 94 pounds of lean ground beef donated to their cause by each participant bringing one pound of lean ground beef. Additionally, we were able to donate funds to the Valentine Community Center to help their needs as well.
