City truck found in Tornillo

A City Code Enforcement truck was stolen last Wednesday from City Hall. Video cameras identified a male subject in the vicinity around 10:45p.m. According to Sheriff Oscar Carrillo, the vehicle was located Thursday, stuck in sand, near Tornillo. Authorities arrested David Denton, a 35 year old male from Australia. Culberson County Sheriff’s office has linked the foreigner to a stolen 2016 Volvo recovered east of Van Horn, from a Fort Worth Texas auto dealership. Denton faces felony unauthorized use of a motor vehicle charges and remains in custody at the Culberson County Jail.
