The “Coolest 5K in Texas” and 1K fun run/walk will take place on Saturday, July 2nd. The 1K will be at 7:45 and the 5K at 8:00. This will allow plenty of time to have all run activities concluded before the parade at 10:00. Both runs will start and end at the Davis County Park which is just southwest of town on Hwy 17.
There will be nine age divisions with a embossed sling pack as award to the top three in each division. Also, $100 will be awarded to the top male and top female! All participants in the 1K will receive a special ribbon.
All runners and walkers will receive a special t-shirt, packet full of goodies, and refreshments.
All proceeds go to the Fort Davis Education Foundation which awards scholarships to graduating seniors, provides money for classroom needs, and education opportunities for teachers.
