The Van Horn City Pool concession building was the site of an early morning break-in last Monday morning according to city officials. At least three young perpetrators were caught in the act of scaling the fence at the pool, breaking into the concession building and making off with approximately $50 dollars and a box of candy. The thieves then cooled off by taking a dip in the pool before making their escape. The entire escapade was recorded on camera and is currently under investigation by local law enforcement. Sources at city hall stated that cameras are installed in all city buildings and properties for safety and to discourage criminal behavior. Cameras at the city hall parking lot recently were responsible for the arrest of the man responsible for stealing the code enforcement truck.
