Robert William Stuckey

Robert William Stuckey, age 79, passed away on September 25, 2016 in Cedar City, Utah. He was born on January 5, 1937 in Leavenworth, Kansas to Walter Gardner Stuckey and Winnie Bernice Warner. He graduated from Lathrop High School in Missouri and from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri with a Bachelor’s in Physics and Math.

While serving as a weapons officer in the US Navy, stationed in Japan, Robert met and married his first wife, Tokiko Fujita in July of 1960. They had four children: Marina, Michael, Cassandra and Daniel. In July of 1980, Robert met and married his second wife, “Nada” Naomi D Dixon. She had four children from a previous marriage: Martin, Bonnie, David and Danette.

Robert was a kind, loving and righteous man who dedicated his time to others. He was a volunteer for the Clark Motel Museum in Van Horn, Texas for over 14 years. He was also a substitute teacher for many years. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, history, math, physics, playing chess and camping with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Nada Dixon Stuckey, His children Marina and her husband Scott Price, Son Michael Stuckey and his wife Stella, Daughter Casandra and her husband Tod Manders, Son Daniel Stuckey. Step son Martin Davis, Step son David Davis and step daughter Danette Davis Hockins, Brother Jim Stuckey and wife Bev. Brother Don Stuckey and his wife Deanna. Brother Richard Stuckey and wife Sandy, and several Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Nieces and Nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Marjorie Vanzant, step-daughter, Bonnie Davis and his first wife, Tokiko Fujita.

Memorial Service is at 11:30 am on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the Cedar City Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Online condolences can be made at www.sumortuary.com.
