Garry and Oreo

One of our Valentine third grade Pirates, Mr. Garry Webb, attended his first livestock show on Saturday, December 10 in Fort Davis representing Jeff Davis County 4-H and showed his competition how it’s supposed to be done. Garry showed two pens of chickens and won the Grand Championship award. Being the overachiever that he is, Garry also took a few pigs to the show, four to be exact and finished in 5th place in one class, second in another, and then not to be outdone, his other two pigs finished first in their classes. His claim to fame though came from his showing his favorite pig, Oreo, which just happened to be named the Grand Champion of the pig show.
Garry is the son of school board member, Summer Webb and her husband Clay. Congratulations Garry and best of luck in the future!
