Red Rock Run held last week

The Van Horn Eagles hosted the annual Red Rock Run with a record number 200 runners in four divisions of Junior High and High School boys and girls fromCrane, Presidio, Greenwood, Pecos, Monahans, Alpine, McCamey, Wink, Ft Stockton, Ft Davis, and Valentine with four divisions.  Eagle 8th grader Bryce Virdell was the big winner with a first place run in his division.

There was plenty of competition on the desert course with results for participating Eagles as follows: Stehpannie Estrada placed 16th in the High School JV Girls Division

Mariah Morales 42nd in the High School Varsity Girls Division, Nate Yqlecias 18th in the High School JV Boys Division, Esteban Urias  24th in the High School JV Boys Division, Felipe Gonzales 25th in the High School JV Boys Division, Nathaniel Arrazate 12th in the High School Varsity Boys Division, Bryan Dominguez 34th in the High School Varsity Boys Division.

The high school boys and girls ran tough, but none managed to finish in the top 10 in their division.  The Eagles will travel to Wink on Saturday to compete in the Wildcat Run.
