The Van Horn Eagle Cross Country team competed in the Wildcat Run last Saturday in Wink. The runners posted their best times of the season, and half the squad won medals. Senior Nathaniel Arrazate ran his best race of the season and posted a time of 17:48. If he can stay healthy and continue to trim his time, he has a great chance to qualify for State.
The team will travel to Monahans on Saturday and will face some tough competition. There are only two meets after Monahans (Alpine & Odessa) before the team begins to prepare for District.
