This year the local Child Protective Services Supervisor, Azucena Carrasco has named 11 local children that are in the Child Protective Services system.  Each child represents two tags on the tree.  One indicates clothing items needed for the winter and the second tag indicates a toy that they would like.

Van Horn Bank has sponsored the tree for the past 3 years. There are 22 tags placed on the tree this year and you can find the charitable display at the Van Horn Bank, 1800 W. Broadway in Van Horn.  This is the third year Van Horn Bank has sponsored the location for the Giving Tree.

All tags are anonymous and only contain a tag number that is referenced to local children within the system.  If you decide to sponsor a child, please show the teller your tag so that they can write down the tag number along with your name to keep track of donations coming in.

All presents bought need to be wrapped and dropped off at the County Judges office with the relative tag no later than Friday, December 15.  The Child Welfare Program is funded through donations and fundraisers.  If you have any questions, please call the Culberson County Judges office at (432) 283-2059.
