Obituaries, Teddie Darlene St. Clair/Ascencion Martinez

Teddie Darlene St. Clair, age 78 of Van Horn, entered eternal life at Pecos County Memorial Hospital on Thursday, November 30 with her family by her side.

Funeral services for Mrs. St. Clair, was held on Monday, December 4, at 1:00 p.m., at Maple Street Church of Christ with Brother Forrest H. Perry, and Brother  Glenn Guidry officiating.  Burial took place at Van Horn, Cemetery in Van Horn.

Serving as pallbearers are: Kyle St. Clair, Keith St. Clair, Justin St. Clair, Bret St. Clair, David Massey, and Colby Biggerstaff.

Born October 3, 1939, in Sierra Blanca, to Mr. Ted Massey, and Mrs. Eddie (Dunlap) Massey.  She worked for her son as the RV park manager for Desert Willow RV Park in Van Horn.

Teddie is preceded in death by her husband David Ryon St. Clair.

Those left to honor and cherish the life of Mrs. St. Clair are here two sons David Keith St. Clair, and Kyle Wade St. Clair.

The St. Clair family has entrusted Heritage Funeral Home with services.

Ascencion Martinez

Ascencion Martinez 79 of Van Horn passed away peacefully on December 2, in El Paso, with her beloved family by her side.

Mrs. Martinez was born on October 3, 1938 in Pilares, Mexico to Cruz Velez and Belen (Vejar) Velez.  She was a homemaker, and enjoyed cooking for her family as well as being the guiding light for them.  Mrs. Martinez was an active member of Templo Elim Assembly of God in Van Horn.

Prayer service for Mrs. Martinez was held on Tuesday, December 5, at Templo Elim Assembly of God.  Funeral service for Mrs. Martinez was held on Wednesday, December 6,  at Templo Elim Assembly of God in Van Horn.  With Pastor Hermano Perez officiating. Burial followed at Van Horn Cemetery.

Those serving as pallbearers were: Victor Nunez, Jr., Eleazar Sigala, Eleazar Martinez, Gilbert Velez, Robert Carrasco, and Israel Martinez.

Those proceeding Mrs. Martinez in death are: her parents; her son Ravi Martinez; sisters Belen Flores, Paval Erives, and Lupe Rodriguez; her brothers Miguel Velez, and Pedro Velez.

Those left to honor and cherish her life: her husband Filipe Martinez; her children Juanna Martinez, Jesus Martinez, Francisco Martinez, Eloisa Martinez, Belen Martinez, Maria Nunez, Martin Martinez, Heriberto Martinez, Victor Martinez, and Velia Mendoza.  Her sisters Maria Carrasco, Francisca Quintana, and Juana Ibanez.  Her brothers Afonzo Velez, Severo Velez, Fidel Velez, and Rafel Velez.  She if further survived by 36 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Services have been entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home in Van Horn.
