Juan Hector Zamora

Juan Hector Zamora, Sr., of Van Horn, Texas, died with his beloved wife by his side, at Culberson County Hospital in Van Horn on November 27, 2018. He was 48.

Juan was born on May 25, 1970 in Laredo, Texas to Hector Manuel Zamora and Lydia (Martinez) Zamora. Juan was raised in Laredo, and attended school in Laredo. Juan worked for PAVETEX Engineering, LLC., as a senior construction inspector.

Praying of the Most Holy Rosary was held on Monday, December 3, 2018 at San Luis Rey Catholic Church in Lerado, Texas, and Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Burial followed at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Laredo.

Those serving as pallbearers were: Luis Rodriguez, Raul Alvarado, Mike Torres, Mel Zamora, Rigo Dominguez, and Noe Zamora.

Juan loved to spend time with his family, as well as spending time with the members of his car club “Siempre Unidos”. He enjoyed participating in the George West Parade. In 2000 he moved to West, Texas and worked construction, where he and his wife Marcy owned and operated their own company Zamora J’s Construction, LLC., for three years.

He enjoyed watching Criminal Minds, while grilling, as well as cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys.

Those left to honor and cherish the wonderful memory of Juan is: his beloved wife Macey Zamora of Van Horn, Texas; his sons Juan Hector Zamora, Jr., and Hector Manuel Anaya both of Laredo, Texas; his daughter Kimberly Marie Zamora of Laredo, Texas; his brothers Noel Zamora and Gilbert Zamora both of Laredo, Texas; and his sister Liza Z. Dominguez also of Laredo, Texas, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other loved relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to Lydia Jimenez.

The Zamora family has entrusted Heritage Funeral Home of Van Horn with arrangements.
