Obituary— Dolores “Lola” Banuelas
Dolores “Lola” Franco Bañuelas age 73, of Van Horn passed away on March 28, 2021, at the Compassionate Care Hospice Facility in El Paso, Texas.
Dolores was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico on September 27, 1947. She married her husband José Jesus Bañuelas in Roswell, New Mexico. She has lived all over the southwest, including New Mexico, California and ultimately Texas. She was a devoted wife, mother, and beloved grandmother. Dolores loved music, dancing, word games and watching game shows. She had a great love for nature and animals, especially her chihuahuas.
Dolores is survived by three children; Daniel, Michael and Melissa; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; two sisters, Guadalupe Garcia of Miami, Florida and Dora Garcia of Roswell, NM. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, José Bañuelas; her parents Tony Franco and Lucia Basciano Longoria; and her first born son Antonio Orlando Franco.
