Obituary— Gloria Ann Carrillo Valdez
Gloria Ann Carrillo Valdez, our beloved mother, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ peacefully, in her sleep in her home, on January 29, 2022. Gloria was born on December 6, 1944, in Pecos, Texas to Manuel and Celia Valdez.
Gloria was raised in Pecos and later resided in Van Horn, Texas where she raised her family. Gloria loved going to dances and spending time with family and friends.
Gloria is survived by her sons: Rudy, Victor, and Hubert Valdez of Van Horn, her daughters: Arlene Rodriguez and husband Rafael of Van Horn, and Mitzi Babb of Las Vegas, Gloria was also survived by her mother Celia C. Mendosa of Odessa, her sister Linda V. Garcia of San Antonio her half-sister Hilda Padilla and husband of Dallas, one niece Cassandra Acosta and husband Angel of Ft. Stockton. She was blessed with thirty-one Grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Sandra Ann Valdez, her father Manuel Valdez Sr., her brother Manuel Valdez Jr. and her nephew Ralph Garcia (Mackey) Garcia Jr.
A funeral service was held at 10 am today, February 10, 2022, at the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel of Van Horn officiated by Mr. Jackie Dees. The burial followed at the Van Horn Cemetery.
Pallbearers serving were: Victor Valdez, Rafael Rodriguez, Isaiah Rodriguez, Rudy Aaron Estrada, Jose Baeza, and Julio Baeza.
Funeral Services were entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of Van Horn, Texas.
