VH continues to see solid gains in sales tax revenue

(AUSTIN) — Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.06 billion in local sales tax allocations for October, 17.4 percent more than in October 2021.

These allocations are based on sales made in August by businesses that report tax monthly.

Van Horn took in $158,428 in sales tax revenue in the eighth month of the year, an $49,633 improvement over last August’s $108,795. The increase amounted to 45.6 percent.
