Urias picked for Las Vegas football competition

Luis Urias, an incoming senior at Van Horn High School has been selected
as a defensive back to attend the Blue-Grey National Super Combine in
Las Vegas on July 13 and 14.

Mr. Urias is only one of 200 athletes selected from a nationwide pool of candidates from all over the U.S.

In March, Mr. Urias received a letter from the Combine about his selection as a candidate.

“On
behalf of Blue-Grey Events and our sponsors, we would like to invite
you to the Blue-Grey National Super Combine,”the letter says. “Your
selection is based at one of our regional combines as well as your
outstanding season in 2012. You will be competing with 170 elite
prospects from previous combines from 26 states as you move to the top
of the recruiting class.”

If Mr. Urias performs well enough in
Las Vegas, he would be selected to paly at the Blue-Grey National
All-American Game played on Jan. 11 at the Raymond James Stadium in
Tampa Bay.
