Van Horn has received 1.58 inches of
rain since last Saturday. This is video of a creek on the east side of
Hwy. 54 about three miles north of town. Following a heavy downburst of
rain, the creeks immediately filled up. The strong thunderstorm also
caused a familiar power outage on Monday evening starting at about 5:30
p.m. Power was not restored until about 8:10 p.m.
