Last weekend, the Van Horn Eagle Cross Country teams hosted the 3rd
Annual Red Rock Run cross country meet Mountain View Golf Course. Teams
from Alpine, Balmorhea, Pecos, Presidio, Valentine, Buena Vista, Marfa,
and Van Horn attended the meet and brought Junior High and High School
runners to compete in two and three-mile races. The Van Horn Eagles and
Lady Eagles ran very well and finished 2nd overall as a team in the
Varsity Girls, Varsity Boys, JV Boys, JH Girls, and JH Boys divisions.
Abril Padilla placed first in the Varsity Girls division making it her
2nd win of the season.
