Letter to the Editor

By Carlos G. Urias, County Judge —

The Glorious season of being thankful for all our blessings and enjoying the company of family and friends is upon us. Our Lady of Fatima Parishioners and friends would like to invite the community of Van Horn, residents of Culberson County and visitors to come together once again this holiday season. Let us renew our Christian faith by praying to the Lord every morning recognizing that he does come before all others and that He grants us continued graces and blessing throughout the coming year.

Having compassion for others and being of service for those in need is the example that Jesus Christ himself set for us all. We are extending an invitation to everyone to a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal at our Kennedy Hall on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. We will be serving meals at Kennedy Hall and delivering meals to individual's homes and the work place for those that want an incredibly delicious meal but do not have the ability to come by. The meal will consist of turkey, cornbread stuffing, mashed taters, savory green beans, country-style gravy, cranberry sauce, biscuit and pumpkin pie. If you know of anyone that would enjoy a Thanksgiving meal, please call us anytime from now until the 28th.

Any and all volunteers are more than welcomed to help us serve on that day. Last year's support was abundant and, we hope that we are just as blessed this year. God Bless Us All! Faith… Family…Friends.
