Obituary: Skylare Price

Skylare Price, 14, passed away in Sierra Blanca on Oct.  4, 2014.   She was born in Knoxville, Tenn.  on July 25, 2000.  Skylare loved sports and horses, and she had a bubbly, sweet, loving, and kind personality.  Her smile could light up a room; her enthusiasm for life was to be admired.  She was a positive, encouraging young lady.  She was given roses on Friday night at Homecoming game, as she was selected as the Student Council Representative.  She was also a recipient of the Vaquero “Most Athletic Girl” last year, along with her best friend Skylar Rivera.  Skylare touched the lives of everyone with her genuine love for people and she will be missed by everyone that knew her.  We believe she is smiling down from Heaven, and as we say here in Sierra Blanca, “Once a Vaquero Always a Vaquero.”  A memorial service was held on Oct.  10, 2014 at the Sierra Blanca High School Gym officiated by Pastor Juan Carlos Gomez.  Skylare was laid to rest in Knoxville, and she is survived by her parents Jay and Lora Foirster and her two brothers Ezzie and Casper of Sierra Blanca.  Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of Van Horn
