Obituary: Inocente Baeza

Inocente “Chente” Baeza, 75, went to be with our Lord on Oct. 23, 2014 in Midland, Texas. Chente was born in Pilares, Chihuahua, Mexico on Dec. 28, 1938.  He was known for being a very hard-working man and always encouraged his family to be independent. He took great pride in his farm, animals, his hometown of Pilares, and his family.  Funeral services were held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Van Horn on Monday, Oct. 27, 2014 officiated  by Pastor Carlos Arellano. Chente is proceeded in death by his parents Cleofas and Paula Baeza; brothers Domingo Baeza, Martin Baeza, Cleofas Baeza, and Rito Baeza; sisters Cecilia Sanchez, Susana Saenz, Rosa Lujan, daughter Melba Baeza; and grandson Adrian Urias.  He is survived by wife Juana Baeza of Odessa, TX; daughters Sally Tarango and husband Israel of Van Horn, Otilia Baeza of Odessa, Olivia Urias of Van Horn, Oliria Martinez and husband Onesimo of Van Horn, Olga Nikolic of Midland, Elia Tarango and husband Angel of Van Horn, Melba Baeza of Odessa,and son Samuel Baeza and wife Agatha of Odessa.  He is also survived by his brother Julian Baeza and three sisters Maria Lopez of California, Manuela Muela of California, and Ernesta Garcia of Alpine.  Chente had 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  Services were entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of Van Horn.
