Dear Editor:
It is a privilege for me to send congratulations to the students, parents and teachers of your high school for having Ronald Holmes as your commencement speaker.
As a single mother in the 60s, and early 70s, my family was blessed not only with exception school teachers, but the friendship of Ken and Imogene Holmes.
Ken taught me the motel business, and he had the joy of Imogene’s exceptional talent as a musician with my young people’s church choir. And it was with their loving encouragement and support that all three of my children were able to get scholarships to college. Therefore, it is with joy in my heart that I wish this year’s graduates Godspeed, and may His blessings continue to reach all.
