Seven employees at Culberson Hospital and the Van Horn Rural Health Clinic who have worked at the hospital and clinic for a combined 75 years were honored recently.

Jennifer Carrillo, health information manager, and Chester “Snuffy” Morris, human resource manager, were the two biggest winners, according to Jonathon Voelkel, hospital administrator. Both Carrillo and Morris were awarded their 15- year pins during the presentation ceremony along with a gift card.

“All kidding aside,” continued Voelkel, “the hospital and community are the real winners to have people of the caliber represented by Jennifer and Chester working for our community and our hospital.”

Anne Michelle Carreon, laboratory technologist, Lorena Martinez, clinic manager, Susana Morales, medical assistant, and Concepion Urias, LVN, each received their 10-year pin and a gift card during the evening festivities, while Rocio Onate, LVN, received her 5-year pin.

“We are very lucky to have long term employees committed to providing the high quality, compassionate care that our community deserves,” said Voelkel. “This commitment is important for our support staff as well as our clinical staff, and the employees at the hospital and clinic.”
