The Van Horn Eagle Cross Country teams competed in Monahans on Saturday and ran well. Sophomores Ryan “Cobra” Corrales and Nathaniel Arrazate placed thirteenth and seventeenth, respectively. The two had ran on minimal sleep, and had to wake up early after playing in Friday night’s football game in Anthony.
Brian Dominguez continues to improve, but placed 23rd, a few seconds short of earning a medal. Steven Urias Jr and Mariah Morales also ran a good race, but did not crack the Top 20. The team is off this week and won’t be back in action until Saturday, October 1st. They will compete in the grueling Big Bend Rambler course located outside of Alpine. Way to run Eagles, please continue to train and run hard.
