The Lady Eagles posted their best time of the year to win the district title in the 400R.
4x200m.Relay
The same quartet of sprinters won their second district championship in the 800R, as well, posting a season best of (1:57.52).
100 LH
Calise Cottrell-1st place(17.74)
Calise ran a good tactical race to become the district champion in the 100 hurdles.
100m.
Renee Rivera-1st place(13.27)
Renee improved her blocks from last week to win the 100m title in the 100 meters.
This is Renee’s 3rd straight district title in the 100m.
200m.
Renee Rivera-2nd place (27.74) and Jadein Tarango -4th (29.75)
Renee and Jadein got 12 points in the 200m. for the Lady Eagles.
300H.
Calise Cottrell-2nd (54.79)
Calise got her second medal of the afternoon placing 2nd in the 300H.

-The Lady Eagles added 12 points to their final score and advanced the mile relay to the AREA round.

Shot Put
Jadein Tarango-1st (34’-0’’) /Claris Navarrette-2nd (31’-6 ½ ”) Jacelyn Lucas-3rd (30’-11 ¾’’ )
These ladies swept the shot put going 1-2-3 and added 24 points to the Lady Eagles team total.
Discus Throw
Jadein Tarango-2nd (102’-9’’)/Destiny Rivera-3rd (89’-4’’) Claris Navarrette-4th (78’-6’’)
Once again our throwers continue to rack up points in the discus going 2-3-4. Jadein threw a personal record.
Long JumpRenee Rivera-1st (17’-10’’)
After a 5 meet lay-off in the long jump because of injury, Renee launched a personal and school record record of 17’-10’’ to win her 3rd straight championship in the LJ.
Teams entered: Anthony, Ft. Hancock, Iraan, McCamey, Van Horn and Wink
The LADY EAGLES scored 144 points and finished in the runner-up spot, only 19 points behind Iraan.
The top 4 finishers advanced to the AREA round in Wink, TX on Wednesday, April 19th.
