Naomi Esteen Jarman Hurley

Naomi Esteen Jarman Hurley, 95, of Corpus Christi passed away on March 9.

Naomi was born in Maysville, OK, May 27, 1922 to Ezra Lee and Elsie Mae Haney Jarman. She was the fifth of seven children.

She married Newell Newton Morris, August 18, 1938 in Corcoran, CA at the home of her parents. Together they had four children.

Naomi was preceded in death by parents, five siblings and spouses, husband, Newell Morris, husband, Winslow Hurley and a beloved son, John David Morris.

Naomi leaves behind the “baby” of her Jarman family, Novella Willis of Los Osos, CA. She also says goodbye to loving friends; Elizabeth Barton, Uvalde, TX, Felipe Ramos, Uvalde, TX, Yolanda Moreno, Uvalde, TX, and a goodbye to her cherished and faithful care givers who called her “Hurls”: Laurie Walker and Holly Wilkinson of Garden Estates in Corpus Christi, TX.

She is survived by three children: son, Timothy (Tim) L. Morris and wife Margie of Sherman, TX, daughter, Nueldena (Deana) Morris of Corpus Christi, TX, daughter, Nona D. Garlick of La Grange, TX.

Twelve wonderful grandchildren are left to enjoy memories of their grandma’s and Mangaw’s quick wit and contagious laughter. Teri Harris (Tom DiStefano) Corpus Christi, TX, Levi Garlick (Becky) La Grange, TX, Marti Jo Stout (Justin)San Antonio, TX, Lance Garlick (Lucy Velasquez) El Paso, TX, Jason Garlick (Shelah) Mullin, TX, Kimberly Mc Daniel (Kyle) Melissa, TX, Clay Morris (Stacey) Sherman, TX, Grant Morris (Jamie) Sherman, TX, Corby Morris (Lisa) Lindon, UT, David Lee Morris (Alena) Eagle Mountain, UT, Ben Morris (Jenny) Pleasant Grove, UT, and Rae Lynn Smith (Kevin) Bountiful, UT. From these twelve grandchildren came thirty-one great grandchildren and four great- great- grandchildren.

Ray Fierro Vejar, III

Raymond Fierro Vejar, III was born on April 27, 1962 and died December 30, 2017. He is survived by his wife Lindsey and children Brok and Shad of Tulare, California. He is also survived by his parents, Josephina and Ray Vejar, Jr. and his siblings, Terri, Erica, Pat, Mike and Mark. A memorial service was held in Tulare.

Ray was raised in Van Horn until the 4th grade when his family moved to California for the remainder of this life. He was a real estate salesman and the proud owner of Vejar’s Cycle Shop for 15 years in Tulare where he experienced his passion of motorcycles and repair business.
