Obituary— Pilar D. Urias
Pilar De Anda Urias born on October 12, 1937 in Van Horn, Texas to Alberto and Reyes Urias passed away on February 10, 2020 in Van Horn, Texas at the age of 82. Pilar was a lifetime resident of Van Horn. Pilar was a devoted catholic and loved to pray the rosary. She loved spending time with friends and family. She retired from working at Culberson County Hospital as a nurse’s aide and scrub nurse for 30 years. Her favorite times were to visit and drink coffee with her friends; Betty Herrera, Mariana Mendias, Sofia De Anda, Penny Stevens and Barbara Mendez, and crocheting. Pilar will be missed by everyone she touched.
A visitation will be on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Heritage Funeral Home, 704 NW Frontage Rd. in Van Horn from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A Rosary will follow at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church at 308 Almond St. also in Van Horn, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on Friday the 14, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Father Apolinar Samboni with burial service to follow at the Van Horn Cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Esteban Urias, Esteban Urias Jr., Danial Urias, Michael Urias, Albert Urias Jr., Luis Urias, Alex Urias and Aaron Urias.
