Obituary— Juan Rodarte
Johnny was born on September 21, 1951 in Pecos, Texas to Esequiel Rodarte and Erlinda Tarango. Johnny was married to his loving wife Olga (Sanchez) Rodarte for 48 years. Together they raised three sons Juan Carlos, Cesar and Adrian. Johnny was a proud grandfather to Camilla, Lorenzo and Viviana.
A graveside service for Johnny was held on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at the Van Horn Cemetery with Father Apolinar Samboni serving as Celebrant with music being provided by Rick Ruiz.
Those honoring Johnny and his family by serving as pallbearers were: Martin Ibanez, Cesar Rodarte, Adrian Rodarte, Israel Rodarte, Jr., Richard Rodarte, Jr., Juan Carlos Rodarte, Ruben “Chapo” Gomez and Pablo “Cuney” Vasquez.
Johnny worked for Wachenhut and the United States Government as an Dentition Enforcement Officer in which he excelled as a man dedicated to his job and family. Once Johnny retired, he was able to spend even more time with his beloved family and friends. He would often be seen watering and cutting the grass of his family’s cemetery lot, where he liked to spend time reminiscing about his Father. Johnny was an avid gardener, kept his yard in great condition, listening to music and spending time cruising the streets of Van Horn. He loved to spend time with his Mother as well as spending quality time with his Princess, (his beloved granddaughter). Johnny was also a true and dedicated friend offering help and loving kindness to all he met and knew.
Those preceding Johnny in death are his son Hugo; his father Esequiel; his brothers Carlos and Richard Rodarte.
Those left to cherish and honor the memory of Johnny is his wife of 48 years Olga Rodarte; his mother Erlinda Tarango; sons Juan Carlos Rodarte, Cesar Rodarte and Adrian Rodarte; his grandchildren Lorenzo Rodarte, Viviana Rodarte and Camilla Rodarte; his brothers Ismael Rodarte, Israel Rodarte, Gilbert Rodarte, Zeke Rodarte, Ruben Rodarte and Joe Rodarte; his sisters Gloria and Carmen; his beloved nieces and nephews as well as his many true and wonderful beloved friends.
