Obituary— Rita Baeza Franco
Our beloved Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Aunt and friend Rita Baeza Franco, 70 of Van Horn, Texas, knowing the Love of Jesus Christ took his hand and closed her eyes to her earthly home and opened them to her heavenly reward on Monday October 5, 2020.
Rita was born on May 22, 1950 in Ejido de Emilio Carranza, Chihuahua. Mexico, to Amando Baeza and Maria Elvira (Franco) Baeza. She moved to Van Horn in 1962 where she made her home permanently.
Services for Rita were held on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the Van Horn Cemetery Gazebo. Burial followed at the Baeza family plot in Van Horn Cemetery.
Those that served as pallbearers were Jose Baeza, Omar Iozano, Juan Apodaca, Claudio Lopez, Harvey Sanchez, and Julian Lopez.
Rita loved to play softball, games especially Loteria, dominos with her friends, riding with her friend Eva Franco. But most importantly she loved being in the sunshine spending time with her daughter and granddaughter as well as enjoying watching “novelas” with Lucy. Rita was an excellent provider and a hard worker. She was an awesome mother who prided herself in taking exceptional care of her children Claudio and Erika and was the sweetest grandmother to Lucy and Violet. You would also find Rita playing “washers” with her family and friends. She loved to eat tacos de tripitas and her favorite candy bar was Payday.
Rita will be deeply missed by all the lives that were blessed to have known and loved Rita.
Preceding Rita in death are her parents Amado and Maria Elvira Baeza; her two brothers Fermin Baeza and Martin Baeza.
Those left to honor and cherish the blessed life of Rita is her daughter Erica Seijas; her son Clauido Lopez; one brother Eulalio Baeza; one sister Angela Torrez; two granddaughters Lucy and Violet; many nieces and nephews; as well as her wonderful friends.
Services were entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home in Van Horn, Texas.
