Obituary— Jesus Licon Valdez
Jesus Licon Valdez, age 81 passed away in Van Horn, Texas on January 22, 2022. He was born on December 25, 1940, in San Antonio, Chihuahua, Mexico to Francisco and Cristina Valdez.
He was a resident of Van Horn. Jesus was a business owner. He owned a restaurant in Ojinga, Mexico and the Park Store in Van Horn.
Those left to cherish Jesus’s memories are his daughters Sara Sunshine Valdez, Jessica Marie Metzger, Elgica Hernandez, Norma Gamboa, Guadalupe Valdez, and sons Jesus Licon Valdez, Francisco Valdez Licon, Dalton Melendez and Francisco Valdez.
He is preceded in death by his parents Francisco and Cristina Valdez.
A viewing will be held on Friday January 28, 2022 at Heritage Funeral Home of Van Horn located at 704 Frontage Rd. starting at 9 am followed by a graveside service at the Van Horn Cemetery at 2 pm.
Pallbearers serving are Jesus Valdez Licon, Francisco Valdez, Dalton Melendez, Hernan Hernandez, Francisco Valdez Licon, and Birdie Valdez.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of Van Horn.
