Local El Paso Times vending machines burglarized

By Robert Morales —

The El Paso Times is delivered to Van Horn via a private vendor that
places the newspapers for sale at local vending machines. Home delivery
of the Times ended several years ago.

Last week, the local vendor, Gilbert Molinar, reported theft of of the El Paso Times from his vending machines.

Mr. Molinar told the Advocate last week that he had suffered a loss
of several hundred dollars over the course of several months because of
theft.

Craige Pogorzelski, circulation manager with the Texas-New Mexico
Newspapers Partnership, says there is an expected amount of pilfering
with these vending machines; however, continued theft cannot be
tolerated.

“If the theft [of The El Paso Times] continues, I will have to suspend ciruculation to Van Horn,” said Mr. Molinar.

If anyone has information about these suspects, please contact the Culberson County Sheriff's Department.
