Lady Eagles are 3-0 in Volleyball district play

BY ERICA URIAS

The Junior Varsity and Varsity Lady Eagles came away with wins on Tuesday. They’ve been working really hard in practice in order to learn everything they can to reach new heights each day. I commend them for their dedication to their teams and themselves. Their dedication is present each and every day.

The Junior Varsity teams played two matches on Tuesday against Sierra Blanca and Anthony. They served tough and made some great plays on defense. They still have some work to do with their communication but that comes with experience and time. I am super proud of the Junior Varsity team and their desire to get better each day. They are really coming together and learning more than just volleyball. Congratulations to the Junior Varsity team!

The Varsity team came out on fire, ready to declaw some Wildcats. They had some spectacular plays in the first two sets winning them 25-10, and 25-12, but lost focus in the third set losing it 25-27. They came back and took the fourth set just like they did the first two, winning it 25-13. The Lady Eagles are looking better each day and are looking forward to improving every practice. I know the fans enjoy watching them just as much as I enjoy coaching them. They are a real treat and believe it or not, you ain’t seen nothing yet! We’re in it for the long haul and we will NOT go down without a fight! Way to play Lady Eagles.

Don’t forget to come out to our game this Friday afternoon. We will be hosting our biggest rivalry yet against the Fort Hancock Lady Mustangs. There will only be a varsity game on Friday and the game time is set for 4:30. After our game you can head over to Eagle Field to cheer on our football team as they take on the McCamey Badgers.

Lady Eagle Varsity Record
