Salvation Army off to a new start in Van horn

Courtesy Matthew Brandon

The Van Horn Salvation Army has been operational for just a short time after a lapse of several years. In this short time, through the generosity of volunteers from Van Horn and Sierra Blanca, we were able to raise operating funds through a successful Christmas Kettle Campaign.

With almost 50 volunteers, we had kettle and bell ringers stationed at Love’s Truck Stop, McDonald’s, and Chevron Truck Stop.  Special mention goes to volunteers Liz Harris, Gracie Fuentes (and kids), Charles Brunk, Ranch on the Rock Recovery Center, teachers of CCAISD, Rodney and Judy Tilley, and all the others who helped so unselfishly.
The Salvation Army is a Christian organization established to serve God and you.  If you or a person you know has emergency needs, give us a call.  We’ll guide you through the application process to determine what help we can provide. You can contact Mathew Brandon at 720-290-4388.

A special appreciation dinner for bell ringers who volunteered this past Christmas season is scheduled for January 24at 7:00 p.m. at the Van Horn Community Church. See you there.
