Filing ended Friday, February 16, 2018 for the Saturday, May 5, 2018 elections for the Town of Van Horn City Council, the CCAISD Board of Trustees, the Culberson County Hospital District Board of Directors and the Culberson County Groundwater Conservation District.
In the Town election, voters will vote to fill the vacant Mayoral seat; the terms for Aldermen Rudy Hinojos and Pam Young are also up. The seats held by Rocio Apgar and Jack Dorris on the CCAISD Board will be up for grabs in the School District election. Three seats are up for the Hospital District– those held by Edwin Easley, Larry Simpson, and Gracie Mendoza. And finally, the CCGCD has two positions on the ballot for seats currently held by Vance Cottrell and Cuco Corrales.
