Obituary- Sara E. Molinar
On Sunday, June 16, 2019, surrounded by her beloved family, God looked around his Rose Garden, and choose Sara E. Molinar the most beautiful and perfect rose for his garden in heaven. Mrs. Molinar was 96.
Praying of the Most Holy Rosary was held on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Van Horn with Lupito Alvarado praying the Rosary. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 with Father Apolinar Samboni serving as Celebrant, burial followed at Van Horn Cemetery.
Those serving as pallbearers were: Don Parker, Jr., Mark Molinar, Matthew Molinar, Samuel Sanchez, Isaiah Molinar, Michael Anthony Molinar, David Thomas and Terry Grahman.
Mrs. Molinar married the love of her life Julian in 1945 and together, they had 9 children. She was very blessed to be able to stay home and take care of her children. She would create beautiful creations by crocheting them, or sewing, in which her beautiful creations won her 2 first place ribbons at the Culberson County Fair, as well as the Grand Champion Ribbon. Her door was always open, as well as fresh made salsa. Mrs. Molinar, was a devoted member of the Sociedades Guadalupanas in which she was very active.
Her guilty pleasure was eating candy orange slices. She loved to work in her yard, tending to her flowers, and enjoying the beautiful mountains in the background.
She loved her grandchildren as well as enjoying watching them play baseball. A fond memory of hers is when Mrs. Molinar and her husband traveled to Colorado Springs, Colorado, to watch the Air Force Academy and West Point play each other in football.
Preceding Mrs. Molinar in death are: her husband Julian Molinar, her father Amador Estrada and mother Seferina (Tevarez) Estrada.
Those left to honor and cherish the beautiful life of Mrs. Molinar are her sons Manny Molinar and wife Marta of Van Horn, Julian Molinar and wife Elvira of Clint, Julio Molinar and wife Marta V. of San Antonio, Bailey Molinar and wife Avey of Van Horn and Dee Dee Molinar of Van Horn, her daughters Marylouise Parker and husband Don of Kaleen, Grace Bonnette and husband Jonathan of Sweetwater, and Lupita Dominguez and husband Tommy of Alpine. Her brother Daniel Estrada of Presidio, her sisters Francisca Hernandez of Presidio and Sylvia Ware of Ruidoso, as well as 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
The Molinar family has entrusted Heritage Funeral Home with arrangements.
