The Culberson County Hospital District met in Regular Session on December 4, 2019.
The Board awarded the bid for the façade/ parking lot project to Frontera Construction of Del Rio, Texas for $990,000. The project will include the façade of both the hospital business office entrance and the clinic entrance as well as both staff and customer parking lots. Construction is expected to start in January, 2020.
Rick Gray, Hospital Administrator, discussed concerns with the ambulances. Based on the current Capital Improvements Plan, the District is scheduled to purchase a new ambulance every three years, and the acquisition of an ambulance is included in the current budget. The Board authorized the solicitation of bids for a new 2020 ambulance as soon as possible, noting that there is usually at least a 10-month turnaround from the award of a bid before the ambulance is delivered.
In other business, the Culberson County Hospital District:
Approved the consent agenda.
Reviewed the financials presented by Preferred Management Corporation.
Heard updates from the hospital administrator.
