Obituary— Nora Ann Brooks
Nora Ann Brooks passed away on January 19, 2020 under hospice care in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on February 01, 1933 and married Edward Brooks, Sr. in Van Horn in 1953. Nora Ann had three sons, Vernon, Gary, and Eddie Jr. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for her husband’s businesses in Van Horn. Nora Ann received her teaching certificate about 2006 at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas.
Nora Ann is preceded in death by her husband Eddie Brooks, Sr., and sons Gary and Eddie Brooks, Jr. She is survived by her eldest son Vernon White and wife Bonnie of Oklahoma; grandchildren James Robert Brooks, David Michael Brooks, Christina Brooks, Melinda Abshier, Nikki Johnson, and Corie Berrier and 15 great-grandchildren.
