I-10 Culberson County Safety Rest Areas
Contractors for the Texas Department of Transportation are working on building the new safety rest areas on Interstate 10. The rest areas, which have a total cost of $29 million, are being built 8.5 miles east of Van Horn. They will replace the current facilities west of the new locations. They’re expected to be complete by the end of 2021.
