The Van Horn Eagles rebounded quite well last week after their first loss of the season to Garden City. They took on the Grandfalls Cowboys last Friday at Eagle Field. “The two weeks of game experience really helped us out this week”, Coach Brock Tyrrell said. “You could tell the players were more confident in themselves and a little bit more comfortable with the new style of play”, he added.

The Van Horn Eagles scored first on a fumble recovery by Felipe Gonzales and never looked back. The game ended early when the Eagles advanced the score to 46-0 over the Cowboys. Coach Tyrrell offered this statement, “We would like to thank the fans and community members for their outstanding support. We are very blessed to live in such a great community.” Eagle pride never dies!

The next matchup for the Eagles will be against the Balmorhea Bears on October 16, 2020, here, at home. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.
