The Texas Girls Coaches Association has released the Volleyball All-State Team. The athlete who earned the honor of making this year’s All-State Team is Amaya Garibay. The All-State Team Honors are awarded to any varsity volleyball athlete who exhibits exceptional work ethic on the court and goes above and beyond for their team. These athletes make their teams stronger by setting an example of how a leader and team player should be. Their exceptional work ethic not only improves their skills, but also the overall performance of their team. The last time an athlete from Van Horn was named to the All-State Team was in 2015. We applaud Amaya for her commitment and dedication to perform with the highest of excellence on the volleyball court. Well done, Amaya and way to represent Van Horn at the state level!

The athletes who earned the honor to be on this year’s Academic All-State Team are Amaya Garibay and Jaymie Sanchez. Academic All-State Team Honors are awarded to any senior varsity volleyball player that earned a GPA of 94 or above during the volleyball season. We would like to send congratulations to these Lady Eagles for their continued success. We applaud them for their commitment and dedication to perform with the highest of excellence academically and on the volleyball court.
